I’ve been thinking a lot about why it’s so important to have good photos of yourself. And I came up with 3 valid reasons:

1. The Obvious: Photos of yourself help show who you are and make a statement about your identity.

2. Entrepreneurial Magic: If you’re an entrepreneur or a business owner, putting your face out establishes a personal connection with your audience. Your clients want to see the wizard behind the curtain, the human side of your business journey.

3. Self-Love: Photos of yourself might feel like a guilty pleasure or completely overwhelming, but it’s really a love letter to yourself. It’s a bold act of rebellion against your inner (or actual) critic, a way of saying, ‘Here I am!’ When you embrace your entire self and show up, it gives others permission to do the same.

Self-acceptance can be a complicated journey, but sometimes we have to show up anyway. (Not me wearing this skirt that I couldn’t get to button up all the way, ha!)
